Graduation Information

I consider it an honor and a privilege to serve as your academic advisor, guiding you along your academic journey through graduation.

Once a student’s final semester begins, their College submits a list of tentative graduates to the graduation coordinator. Once a student’s eligibility for graduation is verified, the student receives an invitation to apply for graduation within the Banner Self-Serv system.

Review the graduation checklist, apply for graduation, and pay graduation fees by the posted deadline on the academic calendar.

HOW TO APPLY FOR GRADUATION:

  • LU Connect
    • NEW Banner Self-Serv
    • Student tab/link
    • Student Records
    • Apply to Graduate
    • Follow the prompts
      • Pay graduation fee

If faced with the error message “no curricula available for graduation application,” the information has not been set up yet. If a student continues to have issues applying for graduation after one to two weeks, let the enrollment office know so that we can follow up with the department and the graduation coordinators.

WHICH DATE TO SELECT ON THE GRADUATION APPLICATION

The conferral or graduation date is the last class date of a student’s final course

To Review the Schedule for the last class day:

  • LU Connect
    • Banner Self-Serv
    • Student tab/link
    • NEW registration
    • View Registration Information
    • Select current semester
    • Click Active Registrations (End Date)

Please note the conferral date should not be confused with the commencement ceremony date listed on the academic calendar.

One of my favorite university events is commencement. I hope that I will get to meet you there. I would love to take a selfie with you and start a section on this ePortfolio to display those photos.

Congratulations on your upcoming graduation!
