Bio

I have been honored to serve as an academic advisor since June 2013. I have discovered a purpose and passion for being a helpful resource to the students I help. I genuinely enjoy guiding students along their educational path and watching them grow into empowered individuals.

During my time in higher education, I have worked in a centralized freshman/sophomore advising center, guiding pre-nursing students along the rigorous path to School of Nursing admission or alternative paths. I also had the honor to work in an academic department, helping junior/senior students customize a degree path for themselves through multidisciplinary degree options. Health concerns drove me to transition into online program advising in July 2021, and I found a new passion for effective communication for asynchronous online graduate students.

In November 2022, I transitioned into a leadership position at the same centralized freshman/sophomore advising center that gave me my start in higher education with aspirations to empower advisors as we seek to make the world a better place, one learner at a time.

I am the advisor that cares.
