Searching for Syllabi

Did you know that you can search for a past course syllabus? Thanks to House Bill 2504, the University has available current and past syllabi. Learn more about how to use this search feature.

Course syllabi (2018-present)

Tips

  • You will need to know your specific program/concentration/certificate section code
  • Typically/traditionally, the programs I advise have the following section identifiers

Occasionally, program sections will be combined or realigned based on class size, faculty availability, and student enrollment, so this is not 100% the case once the session/semester begins. Still, you can verify your section number on your schedule.

  • Searching for past (but recent) semesters of similar length (spring/fall vs. summer) and/or the same instructor are some of the most effective way to assess a course’s expected content. In my experience, the current syllabi may not yet have been updated by the individual instructor and may lack the week-by-week expectations and grading criteria.
