I met my now-husband in February 2006 after completing my undergraduate degree. After spending a lot of miles as a weekend warrior driving back and forth between Houston and Beaumont in 2007, I moved to Southeast Texas. I lived close to the Louisiana border. It is fascinating to see how different Texas can be just a few short hours away.
My husband and I were married in 2008. When I married him, I also committed myself as a mom to our five-year-old (at the time) daughter. I’d been in her life since she turned three years old. Suddenly, I was learning to be a wife and mother while establishing a scheduling department within a new outpatient facility.
